ÉMILE-ALAIN SÉGUY
 

Born in 1877 Émile-Alain Séguy was one of the major influential artists of the Art Deco period.
He studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris where he became distinguished for his drawing.
In 1913 he founded the art department of the Grand Magasins du Printemps.
His collections of drawings published between 1902-1930 feature designs and patterns for the use of artists and creators and he also published two collections of insects, the first in 1928 featured butterflies, and in 1929 he released a collection of insects, some of which we have  here
